Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission in Iran back in service
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran has resumed its operations as of April 12.
At the initial stage, the diplomatic mission will operate with a limited staff, including the ambassador and a small number of diplomatic and administrative personnel, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministry said the embassy will gradually restore full operations, taking into account security and organizational considerations.
It added that the decision to resume activities shortly after the cessation of hostilities and the announcement of a two-week ceasefire reflects the importance Azerbaijan places on relations with its neighbouring and friendly country, Iran, and reaffirmed support for initiatives aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
