Azerbaijan’s economic growth driven by President Aliyev, parliament notes

The economic development of modern Azerbaijan on the global stage is closely linked to the policies and leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, said Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Milli Majlis (Parliament), as she addressed a plenary session of the parliament.

Gafarova emphasized that President Aliyev’s steadfast efforts to safeguard the nation’s interests have significantly enhanced Azerbaijan’s international standing, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“The victories achieved in the Second Karabakh War and in counter-terrorism operations have propelled Azerbaijan’s development to a new level. The agreements reached during the Washington meeting have opened new horizons for the advancement of Azerbaijan and the region. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, substantial constructive work is underway that is transforming the landscape of Karabakh and East Zangazur,” she stated.

In a gesture of respect and celebration, the Milli Majlis also extended birthday congratulations to President Aliyev. During the session, Speaker Gafarova proposed that the parliament formally send a congratulatory letter to the head of state. The proposal was warmly received by the MPs.
