Azerbaijan's environment chief meets Chinese ambassador to discuss COP29 preparations
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev met with the People's Republic of China (PRC) Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Guo Min and discussed preparing for COP29, the ministry's press service told Report.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on preparing the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), scheduled to be held in our country this year.
The sides also talked about prospects for cooperation.
Baku has been chosen as the host city for COP29, marking a significant milestone in Azerbaijan's commitment to environmental stewardship and global climate action.
The announcement was made following rigorous deliberations by the international community, recognizing Baku's strategic position as a key player in advancing sustainability efforts on a global scale.
