Hikmat Alizada, the head of Azerbaijan’s State Environmental Security Service, has issued a strong call for environmental cleanliness in the country's recently liberated territories following reports of pollution by some visitors.
Alizada condemned the act of polluting the environment, describing it as unacceptable and an administrative offense that carries legal consequences, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of these territories, which are of significant cultural and historical value.
In response to these concerns, cleaning operations are underway around the Asgaran fortress in Khojaly, conducted in collaboration with "Taza Shahar" OJSC.
Alizada acknowledged and thanked citizens who have reported environmental violations, urging the public to exercise greater care and respect for nature.
