Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products up by about 15%
Azerbaijan's total export volume reached $24.4 billion, and export of non-oil products increased by 14.6 per cent in January-August 2023 compared to the same period of last year and amounted to $2.2 billion.
Some $571.4 million accounted for the export of food in January-August 2023. The export of electricity increased by 3.9 times, the export of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks - by 3.8 times, the export of ferrous metal products - by 36.6 per cent, the export of sugar - by 17.9 per cent and the export of fruits and vegetables – by 7.4 per cent in January-August 2023, APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
During the reporting period, the total export volume of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 10.4 per cent and reached $593.9 million. The value of agricultural products, having an important place in the export of non-oil and gas products, increased by 32.8 per cent compared to the corresponding period of last year and reached $132.6 million.
