Azerbaijan’s FM hails Kyrgyzstan’s election to UN Security Council
A telephone conversation took place today between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan,
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held a phone conversation with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev, congratulating him on Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The two sides emphasised the importance of mutual support on regional and multilateral platforms, including within the UN Security Council, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
They also expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between the two countries and discussed opportunities for further expanding cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other areas.
During the phone call, the ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
