Azerbaijan's FM meets ICDO Secretary General to discuss civil defence cooperation PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held talks with International Civil Defence Organisation Secretary-General Arguj Kalantarli on prospects for enhancing international cooperation in civil defence.

Bayramov congratulated Kalantarli on his election as ICDO Secretary General, noting that he was elected for the first time as a representative of Azerbaijan during the organisation’s 3rd extraordinary General Assembly session held in Baku this year, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry. 

He emphasised that the election reflects Azerbaijan’s growing international standing and its increasing role in civil defense.

The meeting included exchanges on strengthening international cooperation in civil defence, combating natural and man-made disasters, humanitarian assistance, and prospects for cooperation and experience sharing.

During the meeting, the Secretary General provided detailed information on the organisation’s activities, priority areas, and future plans.
