Azerbaijan’s FM receives newly appointed Brazilian ambassador
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Brazil’s newly appointed ambassador to the country, Bernard Klingl, who presented copies of his credentials, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic duties, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The two sides discussed prospects for strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil.
They noted that expanding political dialogue, reciprocal visits, and consultations would further deepen bilateral ties.
The meeting also covered opportunities for cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, aviation, education, culture, sports, and high technologies.
Both sides exchanged views on the activities of the joint working group on trade and investment and explored prospects for enhanced economic engagement.
They emphasised the importance of expanding the legal and contractual framework between the two countries and discussed collaboration within international organisations, including the United Nations, as well as broader multilateral diplomacy.
Cooperation on the climate agenda and within the COP framework was also highlighted.
