Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry extends Republic Day greetings to Türkiye
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has congratulated Türkiye on the occasion of Republic Day, marking the 101st anniversary of the founding of the brotherly nation, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ministry expressed:
“October 29 marks the Republic Day of Türkiye, as we celebrate the 101st anniversary of the founding of our brotherly country. On this glorious day, we honour the memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, as well as our martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for its creation.Türkiye stands as a cradle of justice and development in the region and globally, and the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood, unparalleled both regionally and internationally, will endure forever, ” Ministry said on X.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, also conveyed his congratulations, stating:
“Today marks the 101st anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic, our fraternal country and ally. On this cherished day, we honour the luminous memory of the founders of the Turkish Republic, our martyrs and veterans, and wish the Turkish Republic strength and prosperity.”
Additionally, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has joined in the celebrations, wishing the Turkish people a happy Republic Day and expressing their hopes for the eternal prosperity of the Turkish Republic.
The Turkish nation is celebrating the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic with a series of festive events held across the country, honouring the nation's founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Commemorations are taking place in major cities, uniting citizens for concerts, parades, and public gatherings.
The city's official ceremonies commenced on October 28 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Republic Monument in Taksim Square, followed by a grand parade set for the following morning on Vatan Avenue.
Republic Day commemorates the historic declaration of the Turkish Republic by Atatürk in 1923, after which a vote in the Turkish parliament resulted in his unanimous election as the first president of the republic.
