Azerbaijan's GDP value nears $49.9 billion
In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan produced a gross domestic product (GDP) of 84,880.4 million manats [$49.9 billion], which is 5.8 per cent more than in the same period last year.
The State Statistics Committee told Caliber.Az that over the last year the added value in the oil and gas sector decreased by 2 per cent, while in the non-oil and gas sector it increased by 10.3 per cent.
Industry accounts for 52.5 per cent of GDP production, 7.9 per cent for trade, vehicle repair, 6.1 per cent for transport and storage, 5.1 per cent for agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3.9 per cent for construction, 1.5 per cent for hospitality and catering, 1.3 per cent for information and communication, 14.1 per cent for other industries.
At the same time, net taxes on goods and imports amounted to 7.6 per cent.
GDP per capita amounted to 8,440.1 manats.
