Azerbaijan’s human rights office visits military to ensure troop wellbeing
Under the joint action plan for 2025, signed between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence and the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office visited a military unit.
During the visit, the representatives assessed the provision and living conditions of servicemen within the unit, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
They also engaged directly with military personnel, inquiring about the health status of those undergoing treatment at the unit’s medical center and providing necessary medical services.
A meeting was held with the servicemen to discuss the current state of human rights protection within the military. During this session, questions raised by the personnel were addressed, fostering an open dialogue on issues of interest and concern.
