Azerbaijan’s parliament to convene extraordinary session on June 12
The next sitting of the extraordinary session of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis will take place on June 12, with lawmakers expected to review a wide-ranging legislative agenda covering budget execution, international agreements, and institutional reforms.
The agenda includes 10 items, among them the draft law “On the implementation of the State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2025” (first reading), Caliber.Az reports.
Lawmakers will also consider accession to the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships, as well as a draft law on the establishment of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Portugal, located in Lisbon.
The session is also expected to review amendments to several existing legal frameworks, including the law “On the Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan – the City of Shusha,” as well as revisions to the Land Code, Housing Code, and the Code of Administrative Offences, alongside other legislative changes.
