Azerbaijan’s prosecutor general, UK envoy discuss attack on Azerbaijani embassy in London PHOTO
Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev has met with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan James Sharp.
The prosecutor general noted in a meeting on August 10 the high level of development and positive dynamics of bilateral relations between the sides, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General's Office.
He also noted that thanks to President Ilham Aliyev, important reforms are being carried out in the prosecution authorities and relevant international experience is being adopted.
Aliyev thanked Sharp for the work on strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UK.
The attack by a group of religious radicals on the administrative building of the Azerbaijani Embassy in London was also discussed at the meeting. The importance of cooperation in the criminal case initiated by the Prosecutor General's Office on the last week’s incident with the UK law enforcement agencies was highlighted.
Sharp expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that Anglo-Azerbaijani relations are actively developing.
