Azerbaijan's Speaker arrives in Bahrain for APA Plenary Session PHOTO

Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, has arrived in Bahrain on a visit to take part in the opening ceremony of the 16th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), Caliber.Az reports via the parliament's website.

At Bahrain International Airport, the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation was welcomed by Chairman of Bahrain’s Consultative Council (the upper chamber of parliament) Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, First Deputy Chairman of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives (the lower chamber) Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, Second Deputy Chairman of the Council of Representatives Ahmed Abulwahed Garata, Chairpersons of the Council of Representatives’ committees Mahmood Mirza Fardah, Ahmad Sabah Al-Salloom, Hasad Eid Buhammas, Mamdooh Abbas Al-Saleh, Mohamed Moosa Mohamed, Member of Parliament Zainap Abdulamir Khalil, and other officials.

As part of the visit, Gafarova will address the 16th APA session and hold a number of meetings.
