Azerbaijan's Speaker to participate in Women’s Parliamentary Forum in UAE

Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) Sahiba Gafarova arrived in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the second session of the Women’s Parliamentary Forum. 

The session is being held under the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Caliber.Az reports, citing the parliament’s press service.

At Abu Dhabi International Airport, the parliamentary delegation led by Gafarova was welcomed by the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, his deputy and President of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum Maryam bin Theneya, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the UAE, Elchin Baghirov, and other officials.

During the visit, Gafarova is scheduled to speak at the Women’s Parliamentary Forum session and hold a series of bilateral meetings.
