Inspections have been carried out in one of the Special Forces military units under the 2026 training plan, the Main Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence said.
At the outset of the inspection, the unit’s Battle Flag was brought onto the parade ground to mark the formal commencement of the process, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.
A minute of silence was observed in memory of the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, as well as the martyrs who lost their lives for the country. The ceremony was followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the subsequent stages of the inspection, the Main Military Inspectorate conducted a comprehensive assessment of the unit’s headquarters operations, combat training, and logistical support.
Special Forces battalions were placed on alert and deployed in line with assigned combat tasks. Their tactical maneuvers in designated areas, field capabilities, and overall operational readiness were evaluated.
Relevant officials were issued instructions aimed at improving the effectiveness of combat training, enhancing the professionalism of personnel, and ensuring that military service meets the demands of the modern era.
