Azerbaijan, San Marino discuss regional security in Rome meeting Photo
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and San Marino’s Foreign Minister Luca Beccari held talks in Italy on November 27, focusing on the future of bilateral relations, prospects for economic cooperation, and a wide range of regional and global security issues.
Meeting in Rome during Bayramov’s official visit to the Republic of Italy, the two ministers reviewed the current state of Azerbaijan–San Marino relations and outlined opportunities to broaden political dialogue. They discussed strengthening the mechanism of political consultations between their Foreign Ministries and increasing the frequency of reciprocal visits, Caliber.Az reports via Foreign Ministry.
Both sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, tourism, education, and humanitarian initiatives. Economic and commercial ties were highlighted as areas with significant untapped potential.
Bayramov briefed Beccari on Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus, including the normalisation process with Armenia and agreements reached under the Washington Joint Declaration. He also provided an update on reconstruction and development projects under way in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.
The ministers additionally exchanged views on cooperation within international organisations and assessed developments in several global hotspots, including the Middle East and the Russia–Ukraine war.
