During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has engaged in key discussions on strengthening bilateral ties with the Kingdom's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

“Tête-à-tête meeting between Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov and Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan has just started at the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia,” Caliber.Az reports via the Azerbaijani foreign ministry's message on X.

The high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations, with a particular emphasis on enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural cooperation.

While details of the discussions remain under wraps, both sides are believed to have discussed mutual interests in regional security, trade, and investment, as well as opportunities for further collaboration in various sectors.

Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have maintained strong diplomatic and economic ties for many years, built on mutual respect and shared interests in regional stability and economic development. The two countries cooperate across various sectors, including energy, trade, and security.

Saudi Arabia is an important partner for Azerbaijan in the energy sector, with both nations working closely on oil and gas initiatives. Additionally, the countries share common views on issues such as regional security and the promotion of Islamic solidarity. Regular high-level exchanges, including state visits and bilateral meetings, further solidify their diplomatic relations, fostering collaboration in both regional and global forums.
