Azerbaijan and Greece share a cooperative relationship, primarily based on mutual respect, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation. Diplomatic ties were officially established in 1992, following the restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence. Both countries have worked closely on various international platforms, including the United Nations and the Council of Europe.
Economically, Azerbaijan and Greece have strengthened ties through trade, particularly in sectors like energy, agriculture, and tourism. Azerbaijan exports oil and gas to European markets, and Greece plays an important role as a transit point for these resources.
