Under the bilateral military cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defence of Serbia for 2025, a joint drill on the conduct of combat operations was held for the Serbian Armed Forces.
The drill, conducted by specialists from the Azerbaijan Army’s Special Forces, aimed to enhance the operational capabilities of both forces, Caliber.Az reports via Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The exercise focused on various aspects of combat readiness, with participants practicing the use of different weapons, combat formations, and advancement techniques. The training also included the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including observation and attack drones, into combat operations, as well as effective strategies for their deployment.
One of the key components of the drill involved practical shooting exercises, where servicemen honed their marksmanship and tactical proficiency in a simulated combat environment. The training sought to strengthen the overall combat effectiveness of both the Azerbaijani and Serbian forces, particularly in the areas of coordination, weapon usage, and modern warfare tactics.
The event highlighted the growing military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia, with both countries continuing to work together to enhance their defence capabilities and maintain regional security.
