Azerbaijan, Serbia strengthen defence cooperation through high-level military visit PHOTO
A delegation from the Ministry of Defence of Serbia visited Azerbaijan under the framework of the bilateral military cooperation plan between the two countries.
The visit included a meeting at the Centre for War Games of the Military Administration Institute of the National Defence University, Caliber.Az reports per Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.
During the session, officials highlighted the significance of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, bilateral military cooperation plans, and ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic partnership relations.
The delegation underscored that mutual visits and joint meetings contribute significantly to advancing military cooperation. The role of joint events and training exercises under the bilateral cooperation plan was also emphasised.
The meeting reflected the strong, friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, illustrating effective defence diplomacy and supporting regional and broader international peace and stability.
The delegation received briefings on "Planning of Operations," followed by in-depth discussions addressing areas of mutual interest.
Detailed presentations covered the structure and development of the Azerbaijan Army, reforms undertaken, troop formations, special military education institutions, combat training organisation, and operational procedures.
The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts.
