Azerbaijan, Shanghai Cooperation Organization mull boosting cooperation

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has met with Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Nurlan Yermekbayev in Beijing.

The sides discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and the SCO, underlining the country’s active role as a SCO partner, AZERTAC reports.

It was noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the SCO and is interested in further expansion of ties.

The parties also exchanged views on the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the SCO in various spheres.
