Azerbaijan showcases tourism opportunities in Pakistan PHOTO

Azerbaijan has presented its tourism offerings to industry professionals in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s potential as a destination for leisure and wellness travel.

From October 27 to 31, the Azerbaijani Tourism Bureau under the State Tourism Agency (STA) held a series of events across Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad aimed at raising awareness of Azerbaijan among Pakistani tourism stakeholders, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the STA, more than 200 representatives from the Pakistani tourism sector and 21 media outlets attended the events.

The programme included B2B meetings, presentations on Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities, and sessions on the country’s wellness tourism potential.

Florian Sengstschmid is the CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) met in Islamabad with Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s National Tourism Coordinator, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, to discuss avenues for bilateral cooperation in tourism.

The STA reported that over the first nine months of 2025, more than 66,000 Pakistani tourists visited Azerbaijan, marking a 15% increase compared with the same period last year.
