Azerbaijan signals diplomatic focus on Jordan with new ambassador
Azerbaijan’s newly appointed ambassador to Jordan, Shahin Abdullayev, has presented a copy of his credentials to the country's foreign ministry.
Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev has been received by the Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's embassy in Amman.
The diplomatic mission released a statement on X regarding the ambassador's meeting with the host country's institution, stating that Ambassador Abdullayev "expressed his sincere commitment to further developing the friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, and confirmed his intention to actively contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.”
Abdullayev's previous diplomatic posts included serving as Azerbaijan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Sudan and Algeria, as well as functioning as the country's permanent observer to the League of Arab States.
