Azerbaijan, Slovakia explore new strategic partnership projects PHOTO
Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini discussed expanding bilateral cooperation during a meeting in Baku on Wednesday (July 15), with both sides highlighting opportunities to deepen ties across a range of sectors.
According to Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers, the officials said Pellegrini's official visit to Azerbaijan, including talks between the two countries' presidents in Shusha, would provide fresh momentum to the strategic partnership between Baku and Bratislava.
The meeting also focused on Slovakia's contribution to the reconstruction of territories formerly under Armenian occupation.
The two sides highlighted the involvement of Slovak companies in rebuilding the village of Bash Garvand in Azerbaijan's Aghdam district.
Asadov thanked Slovakia for its initiative to finance and donate a new secondary school building for the village.
The two officials welcomed the continued development of cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, energy, transport and humanitarian fields.
They also discussed prospects for broadening bilateral ties and launching new joint projects.
