Azerbaijan, Slovakia sign accord to avoid double taxation UPDATED

Azerbaijan and Slovakia have signed an agreement on avoiding double taxation and preventing income tax evasion.
The document was signed during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov's visit to Slovakia, Caliber.Az cites the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry as saying on Twitter.
"This will contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Slovak National Council Speaker Boris Kollar have met to discuss cooperation and security.
Bayramov made the remarks on his Twitter page on June 7, Caliber.Az reports.
At the meeting, the sides focused on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia and exchanged views on regional and international security issues.

Earlier, Bayramov attended the round-table discussions organized by GLOBSEC, as part of his business visit to Slovakia.
The event focused on Azerbaijani-Slovak relations, the current state of relations with the European Union, issues of global and regional security, various aspects of energy security, tasks and challenges in the post-conflict period in the region, existing mine threats, as well as the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process and other issues.
The minister answered numerous questions from the event participants.
On June 7, 2023, within the framework of the minister's working visit to the Slovak Republic, it is planned to hold meetings Slovak counterpart Miroslav Wlachovský, as well as other high-level officials of Slovakia.
