Azerbaijan, Sudan near reciprocal visa waiver for diplomats
Azerbaijan and Sudan are set to introduce a reciprocal visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports under a bilateral agreement currently advancing through Azerbaijan's legislative process.
A draft law approving the agreement between the governments of the two countries was reviewed at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Following its review, the committee recommended that the draft legislation be submitted for consideration at a plenary session of the Azerbaijani parliament.
Once approved, the agreement will exempt holders of diplomatic passports from both Azerbaijan and Sudan from mutual visa requirements, further strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries.
