Azerbaijan, Tajikistan hold consular consultations in Baku Photo
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry held consular consultations in Baku on April 2, bringing together senior officials to discuss bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department, while the Tajik side was headed by Bakhodur Safarzoda, chief of the Main Consular Department, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
The meeting was attended by Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ilhom Abdurahmon, along with representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Science and Education, and the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
According to the ministry, the consultations focused on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation between the two countries. Participants reviewed collaboration in areas including justice, education, labour, and social protection, as well as other fields of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the talks, the heads of the two delegations signed a protocol summarising the outcomes of the meeting.
As part of the visit, the Tajik delegation was also received by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, for further discussions on strengthening bilateral ties.
