Azerbaijan and Tatarstan have discussed expanding cooperation in the energy sector, with a focus on technology adoption and industrial collaboration, the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry said.
The talks were held between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Korobchenko, local media reports.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of economic ties and reviewed opportunities to deepen cooperation in energy, including the implementation of new technologies and the potential use of Tatarstan’s expertise in manufacturing energy equipment.
The discussions also covered broader prospects for strengthening bilateral engagement in the sector.
Korobchenko invited a delegation from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy to attend the International Electric Power Forum, scheduled to take place in Kazan next year.
