Azerbaijan thwarts Armenians' attempt to lay paths to secure combat positions
The units of the Armenian armed forces shelled small arms at the positions of the Azerbaijani army located in the direction of the settlement of Chinarly, Tovuz region on June 1.
“At about 10:00, members of illegal Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, fired at the positions of our army in the Shusha region. Our units have taken adequate response measures in these areas,” the Azerbaijani defence ministry told Caliber.Az.
Meanwhile, members of the illegal Armenian armed formations, under the guise of agricultural work with the involvement of engineering equipment, attempted to expand, repair and restore work on a dirt road in the direction of Shusha and Khojavend regions in order to lay paths to secure combat positions.
As a result of urgent measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani army, the work was immediately stopped.
