Azerbaijan to bury remains of missing persons recovered in former conflict zones
Burial ceremonies will take place in Azerbaijan for the remains of individuals who had been listed as missing and whose bodies were discovered during excavation works in territories previously under occupation.
Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing and Hostage Persons announced the schedule and locations of the ceremonies, following the identification of remains recovered during ongoing searches in liberated areas.
According to the commission, on July 1, the remains of serviceman Yarmammad Nuriyev will be reburied in the Khachmaz district.
On July 3, reburial ceremonies will be held for servicemen Rauf Ahmadov in the Goranboy district, Dayanat Musayev in the Ujar district, and Moysum Aliyev in the Fuzuli district.
On the same day, in the Kalbajar district, the remains of civilians Bahadur Kamalov and Madina Babayeva will also be laid to rest.
