Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov took part in the international donor conference "Together for the Peoples of Türkiye and Syria" in Brussels.

The conference was organized to support eliminating the consequences of earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, Caliber.Az reports.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said the organization of the conference, which was aimed at mobilizing the international community to eliminate the consequences of the terrible disaster, is commendable.

It was informed that from the first days of the earthquake, Azerbaijan sent search and rescue teams, medical personnel, volunteers, and humanitarian aid to brotherly Türkiye.

"Azerbaijan has sent more than 5,300 tons of humanitarian aid. So far, material aid in the amount of more than 45 million dollars has been provided through relevant organizations working in the area of the earthquake in Türkiye.

Azerbaijan will keep on standing by brotherly Türkiye, in particular, our country will continue to provide material and technical support for the reconstruction and construction works after the earthquake. It was announced that within the framework of the contribution of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the reconstruction work in Türkiye, construction of residential houses, social facilities and an educational institution worth $100 million will be carried out," the head of the ministry stressed.
