Azerbaijan to send export mission to Latvia, targeting market diversification
Azerbaijan will carry out another export mission to Latvia in 2025 in order to diversify exports and gain access to new markets, according to the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) executive director Yusif Abdullayev.
“Last year our representative took part in the 20th food exhibition in Riga. Next year we will send an export mission to Latvia to take part in the food exhibition again because we consider it very important,” Abdullayev said at the Azerbaijan-Latvia Information and Networking Meeting on November 28, Caliber.Az reports.
Abdullayev also noted that AZPROMO works in two directions: development of non-oil business, as well as attracting investments to Azerbaijan.
“I think we and Latvian partners will achieve great results in both directions and we will see more and more Latvian companies in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani companies in Latvia,” he emphasized.
The head of AZPROMO invited Latvian companies to take advantage of Azerbaijan's favorable investment environment, emphasizing tax and customs privileges in industrial parks and free economic zone.
AZPROMO was established in 2003 by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy with the goal of attracting foreign investment into the non-oil industries and promoting exports of non-oil goods. Its main purpose is to strengthen the country's economy by encouraging international investment and boosting exports in the non-oil sector. To date, the agency has organized 33 export missions to various international markets under the "Made in Azerbaijan" program.
