Azerbaijan to showcase energy expertise at FT Commodities Global Summit in Switzerland
Azerbaijan is set to make its mark at the highly anticipated FT Commodities Global Summit 2025, which will be held from March 24 to 26 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
SOCAR Trading, the international trading arm of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), will be represented by a distinguished delegation at the prestigious event, Caliber.Az reports, referencing local media.
Taghi Taghizada, Acting Chief Commercial Officer of SOCAR Trading, will take the stage during the panel "Oil: Will Prices Stabilize at a New Level?" where he’ll delve into the future of oil pricing.
Also joining the discussions will be Julie Noller, a leading carbon quota trader at SOCAR Trading. She will share her insights on "Trading Carbon Quotas: The Future of Carbon Markets in the Context of Global Regulation."
Antoine Sevres, Head of Trading and Structured Finance at SOCAR Trading, will also take part, tackling the topic "Risks, Rates, Liquidity, and Inflation: Challenges in Commodity Trading Finance."
The summit promises to tackle some of the most pressing issues in the commodities industry today. Key discussions will include "Conflicts, Security, and Commodities: How Wars and Protectionism are Changing Trade Routes and Demand for Raw Materials?" and "The Future of the Energy Value Chain: From Oil to Chemicals." The event will explore critical challenges, such as the impact of global conflicts on supply chains, resilience in the face of political instability, strategies for achieving a sustainable energy future, and the role of environmental regulations in shaping markets and investments.
The summit will feature more than 85 expert speakers and 450 industry leaders from across the globe, providing invaluable networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
