Train carrying Russian wheat to Armenia departs from Baku Updated

A train carrying wheat from Russia to Armenia, transiting through Azerbaijani territory, has departed from the Bilajari station of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, local media reports.

A shipment of Russian wheat is set to be transported to Armenia on May 15 via transit through Azerbaijan.
The cargo consists of 14 railway wagons carrying 977 tonnes of wheat from Russia, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The train will depart from the Bilajari sorting yard operated by Azerbaijan Railways near Baku and head towards the Boyuk Kasik railway station on the Azerbaijani-Georgian border.
From there, the shipment will continue through Georgian territory before entering Armenia.
