Azerbaijan to host second meeting of Turkic states' justice ministers
Azerbaijan will host the second meeting of the justice ministers of the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States in 2025.
Such a decision was made during the first session held in Astana, Kazakhstan on September 9, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Azerbaijan's Justice Minister, Farid Ahmadov, attended the session, where Secretary-General of the Organisation of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev highlighted the importance of this new platform in broadening and strengthening cooperation among member states in the judicial field. During the meeting, participants shared information about their respective legal systems and the extent of bilateral cooperation within the Organisation of Turkic States.
They emphasised the significance of collaborative efforts between justice ministries in the organisation. The ministers also signed the Astana Declaration from the first session of the Council of Justice Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
