Azerbaijan, Türkiye discuss expanding economic, energy, transport ties
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye, in Baku on April 2, as the two sides reaffirmed their close political and economic partnership.
During the meeting, the officials highlighted the continued development of brotherly and allied relations across all sectors. The sides stressed that the consistent policies pursued by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye remain a key driver in strengthening bilateral ties, Caliber.Az reports per the Cabinet of Ministers.
The officials positively assessed the outcomes of the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which was held in Baku in December. They discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, energy, transport and other areas, and reviewed the implementation status of several joint projects.
The talks also addressed collaboration within the Organisation of Turkic States, underlining the importance of solidarity and mutual support among member states. In this context, the sides noted the significance of the recent Summit of Heads of Government and Vice Presidents of the organisation’s member states, held in Baku.
