Azerbaijan, Türkiye explore new defence collaboration opportunities at IDEX-2025 PHOTO

During the International Defence Exhibition IDEX-2025 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Azerbaijani Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev met with Türkiye's Chairman of the Defence Industry Committee Haluk Görgün and Deputy Minister of National Defence Musa Heybet.

The Ministry of Defence Industry told Caliber.Az that the meetings highlighted the successful military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

The discussions focused on the importance of further enhancing defence industry ties, exploring prospects for joint projects, and exchanging views on other matters of mutual interest.

It should be noted that the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025 is the world’s most strategically significant tri-service defence event, showcasing the latest innovations in land, sea, and air defence. Held biennially, IDEX is the only defence exhibition in the MENA region that demonstrates cutting-edge technologies and fosters collaboration among governments, armed forces, and businesses globally.

Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), IDEX 2025 utilizes over 165,000 square meters of state-of-the-art exhibition space, making it one of the largest and most impactful events in the defence calendar. Organized by Capital Events with the full support of the UAE Armed Forces, the event is held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

This year, IDEX 2025 hosts over 1,350 exhibitors from 65 countries and attracts more than 130,000 visitors, including government officials, military personnel, and key industry leaders.

Covering land, sea, and air defence, the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies, live demonstrations, and product launches.

The event serves as a critical hub for networking, connecting global defence leaders, policymakers, OEMs, prime contractors, and international delegations.
