Azerbaijan, Türkiye hold talks on advancing defence industry cooperation PHOTO
A senior Azerbaijani defence industry official has held talks with a visiting Turkish delegation to advance bilateral cooperation frameworks and follow up on existing agreements.
Hidayat Azimov, Deputy Minister of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan, met with a delegation led by Hakan Karataş, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Defence Industry Committee, during a working visit to Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
According to the Ministry of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan, the discussions focused on the implementation of a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the legal and institutional foundations of cooperation between the two sides.
The officials reviewed progress under the agreement and exchanged views on practical steps to ensure its effective execution. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides reached an understanding to begin implementing the provisions of the memorandum.
As part of their visit, Karataş and Azimov also held separate meetings with the leadership of the Turkish-Azerbaijani University and the Baku Higher Oil School, reflecting a broader agenda that included educational and institutional collaboration alongside defence industry ties.
