Azerbaijan, Türkiye's top diplomats discuss allied ties, regional security

On February 8, 2026, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, discussing cooperation within the framework of the bilateral allied relationship.

The ministers also elaborated on joint efforts in international organisations and multilateral platforms, as well as the regional security situation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, the process of normalising Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, and other issues of mutual interest.
