Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen cooperation on environment, climate issues
Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, in Baku, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers said.
During the meeting, both leaders underscored the importance of the 13th Global Baku Forum and commended the organization of its panel discussions, which focused on the COP climate agenda and broader environmental issues, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The discussions also explored deeper cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in areas such as environmental protection, waste management, and climate change mitigation strategies.
In addition, the sides highlighted the significance of hosting the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026, emphasizing its potential to advance urban planning and sustainable development initiatives in the region.
