Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen defence cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev has met with Turkish National Defence Minister Yaşar Güler in Baku.

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Army General Metin Gürak, also attended the meeting, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The discussions come as part of a Turkish military delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan for the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX-2024.

The first ADEX exhibition was established in 2014. This year it celebrates its 5th anniversary, continuously expanding its participant list and the sectors it covers with each edition. Over the past decade, the exhibition has brought together numerous companies and nearly 200 official delegations representing more than 50 countries worldwide. More than 30,000 visitors have attended the event during these years.

The 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX, along with being the largest event in the region dedicated to the defence industry, showcases the strength and power of the country's military and industrial complex.

More than 218 companies from around 40 countries of the world are involved in this year's exhibition.

The exhibition is held on the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and support of the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan. The organizer of the exhibition is the Caspian Event Organisers, and its international partner, Caspian Event Management.
