Azerbaijan, Türkiye to launch joint job-seeking platform by 2026 PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Türkiye are preparing to establish a joint employment platform that will allow citizens of both countries to apply for job vacancies across each other’s private sectors, İbrahim Oğuzhan Yıldırım, Deputy Director General of the Turkish Employment Agency, told Azertag.
“Once the joint platform is launched, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to apply for vacancies in Türkiye’s private sector, while Turkish citizens will likewise have the opportunity to submit applications to private-sector employers in Azerbaijan,” Yıldırım said.
He noted that discussions on the initiative are ongoing with Azerbaijan’s State Employment Agency, adding that the platform is expected to become operational in 2026.

Yıldırım said experts from Türkiye’s employment agency İŞKUR hold joint meetings with representatives of Azerbaijan’s State Employment Agency almost every month.
“We jointly monitor the projects we implement and keep each other informed. Our bilateral cooperation continues in various areas with different projects. But the most relevant and substantial change we are currently reviewing is the establishment of this platform,” he noted.
“Our goal is to prepare an agreement that does not hinder progress on this issue. Türkiye and Azerbaijan’s labour force needs, differences in qualifications, and potential labour shortages between the two countries are among the topics to be discussed,” Yıldırım added.
