Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan militaries hold command-staff drills PHOTO

Military personnel from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan have held command-staff drills as part of the joint military exercises Strength of Unity 2026, Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry has said.

The ministry noted that the drills were conducted to improve the staff capabilities of the participating units, including commanders’ decision-making and unit management skills, Caliber.Az reports.

The drills involved deploying and positioning headquarters in designated areas, as well as organising their operations and camouflage.

In line with the exercise scenarios, commanders carried out tasks to assess and analyse the evolving situation and make decisions at the Gizilgaya training centre in the Khojavand district, the Karabakhlar training centre in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Boyuk-Zira training ground in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.

The drills focused primarily on improving coordination among military personnel from the participating countries in carrying out joint tasks.
