Azerbaijan, UAE strengthen military ties through joint special forces training PHOTO/VIDEO

The “Indestructible Partnership-2025” joint special forces exercise has got underway in Azerbaijan, bringing together the Special Forces of the Azerbaijani Army and the Special Operations Command units of the Presidential Guard of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), under the bilateral cooperation plan.

The solemn opening ceremony, held on October 21, paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs of both Azerbaijan and the UAE with a minute of silence, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.

The event featured performances of the national anthems by a military orchestra, alongside the ceremonial raising of the flags of both nations.

Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, Commander of the Azerbaijani Special Forces, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that the primary goal of the exercise is to strengthen cooperation between the special forces personnel of the two countries. He highlighted the importance of enhancing practical skills, exchanging operational experience, and fostering the professional development of servicemen.

Throughout the exercise, participants will engage in realistic combat scenarios designed to refine their coordination and leadership capabilities. Tactical activities will focus on improving maneuverability, agility, and command proficiency, while integrating the best practices and experiences of the special forces from both nations.

The conditions and facilities provided for the exercise participants were also inspected, ensuring optimal support for the training operations.

The “Indestructible Partnership-2025” exercise features a comprehensive range of combat-training tasks involving armored vehicles, army aviation, and unmanned aerial systems. Units will undertake various operations, including live-fire exercises, airborne landings, sniper missions, neutralization of enemy targets, and the clearance of human settlements from hostile forces.
