Azerbaijan, UK discuss Middle East escalation amid Iran drone attack
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with the United Kingdom’s Minister for Europe, North America, and the Overseas Territories, Stephen Doughty, to discuss rising tensions in the Middle East.
During the conversation, the UK expressed serious concern over Iran’s drone attack against Azerbaijan, stressing that threats targeting civilian infrastructure and public safety are unacceptable, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Minister Bayramov responded that such actions only escalate regional tensions and confirmed that Azerbaijan is taking all necessary measures to ensure national security.
The officials also exchanged views on ongoing bilateral issues and regional cooperation, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue between the two countries.
