Azerbaijan, UK officials pledge to expand industry cooperation Photo
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, met on December 4 with a delegation led by the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Defence, Lord Vernon Coaker, to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the defence sector.
Mustafayev said he was confident that Lord Coaker’s visit would contribute to expanding defence-industry collaboration between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Defence Industry.
He highlighted the steady development of Azerbaijan’s defence industry, noting that the sector has advanced production capabilities and is increasingly integrating new technologies. International partnerships, he added, play a key role in supporting this progress.
Lord Coaker praised Azerbaijan’s contribution to regional stability and security and underscored the strong potential for deepening bilateral cooperation. The UK, he said, is interested in broadening its partnership with Azerbaijan across multiple areas, including defence industry development.
Both sides expressed readiness to continue dialogue aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation.
