Azerbaijan, UN explore joint efforts to combat mine threats PHOTO

Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Vugar Suleymanov, has met with Simonetta Siligato, Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Austria Multi-Country Office to discuss efforts to combat mine threats.

Siligato was provided with detailed information on Azerbaijan’s mine contamination problem, as well as the measures being implemented to address it, Caliber.Az reports, citing ANAMA.

The sides exchanged views on potential cooperation in the joint implementation of projects aimed at combating the mine threat, along with other issues of mutual interest.
