Azerbaijan unveils new military fitness, medical facilities PHOTO
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence has unveiled new sports and medical facilities as part of ongoing efforts to improve the service conditions and welfare of military personnel, initiatives being implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
On June 26, marking Armed Forces Day, Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the ministry's senior leadership inspected a newly commissioned fitness centre and the Emergency Medical Unit of the Main Clinical Hospital, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.
Hasanov was briefed that the fitness centre has been equipped with modern exercise machines and training equipment designed to enhance the physical fitness and endurance of servicemen.
The delegation then visited the Emergency Medical Unit of the Main Clinical Hospital, where officials presented newly commissioned ambulances and the department's advanced medical equipment.
The ambulances are outfitted with the latest medical technologies, enabling medical personnel to provide immediate first aid to evacuated servicemen during transportation.
The ministry said the introduction of the new vehicles and equipment is intended to further improve the quality and effectiveness of emergency and urgent medical care available to military personnel.
