Azerbaijan urges Iran to finalize probe into Nakhchivan drone attacks

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has renewed a call for Iran to complete its investigation into drone attacks targeting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, during a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

The ministers discussed the broader regional situation and exchanged views on potential efforts to de-escalate ongoing military tensions, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The sides also underscored the importance of maintaining security in the Caspian region.

During the call, FM Bayramov reiterated Azerbaijan’s expectation that the investigation into reported drone strikes originating from Iranian territory and targeting Nakhchivan be brought to a conclusion.

The ministers further discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest.
